the whole thing, I have two jobs that look great on a resume but prior to those i only have waitressing experience and i never finished college. I need to figure out how to take the bad stuff and make it look good
Leave the bad stuff out. I have a few jobs that suck so i leave them off. Only put jobs you are proud of on your resume or that will give good references. If the past two jobs you have look great on the resume and your spent a good deal of time with them just leave those two on.
Waitressing is still a job- Highlight the positives:Customer Service, Guest Relations. It may be waitressing, but it's all in how you word it. Hospitality Specialist or some shit... Like I do customer service, but on my resume I'm a "Import/Export Coordinator" it's just words.
As for college, just put what time you did attend, you don't have to put that you dropped out or whatever. If they ask let them know you took a break to "Explore other opportunities".
Less is more- keep it on one page and make sure there aren't gaps in employment.
Best way to do it is use the microsoft templates and just follow along. I don't know if I still have a copy of mine but if I do I'll email it to you.
