One thing I was looking forward to last night was Cindy McCain's speech.  The spouse typically talks about their relationship with the candidate and how they met and so on.  It is always a valuable and different insight into the candidate.  Michelle did this with Barack.  I think we all know that Barack kept asking her out and she kept turning him ( Read more... )

Check it: traditional conservative values are out the window this election. Look at Palin. Her high-school age teenager is five months preggers with an out of wedlock child, and everyone just loves her more for it. Check this article on Slate; evangelicals and traditional social conservatives actually lead more fucked-up lives than us, and they're finally taking on that hypocrisy as an identity.

I think it's amazing that a party who makes it their mission to impose their moral imperatives on the country chooses leaders to impose this legislation to the country when they can't even find the leadership to foster it in their own lives and families.

Why choose someone who can't even instill a sense of moral sexuality and responsibility around her dinner table to try and lead an entire country on such matters.

And the party who wishes to make a constitutional amendment regarding the "sanctity" of marriage does not practice this ideology in his own marriage.

That's just funny because I wasn't expecting it to go there. If the republicans take this election, I think I'm seriously moving to Canada.

yeah, married to a woman who'd waited for him, but she'd been in a horrible car accident that had marred her looks, so on to the next woman, younger and prettier!
