There . . . I've done it.

My transformation to the dark side West Coast life is nearing its completion.

I just became a Mac person, after roughly 14 or 15 years as a diehard PC person.

The very kind godofbiscuits took me shopping at the Apple Store and gave me amazing advice.

Gurlknowsherstuff.

So, we'll now see if I become that guy who talks about his Mac as if it did his laundry.

Congrats! Now if I could only convince the office to do the same I would have to remember as much of the windoz pitfalls.

I'm way a Mac person; once you get used to it, and when next you try to use a Windoze machine again, you'll shake your head in disbelief.

Interesting. My experience with Mac's have not been all that. They have their share of problems just like any other computer. Windows, or otherwise. Hardware is hardware. At my job we have to use some kind of utility disk to get the OS to boot back up because something becomes corrupt on the Mac.

I just don't understand why people have to hate and put down one or the other. I don't have anything against either and would use both.

Statistics would disagree with you, but then again, I'm not entirely unbiased these days, working where I do, doing what I do.

If it's really just hardware, why do you describe it as trying to "put down one or the other"?

It's hardware. And software. And how they work together. and how much care and talent and effort was put into the whole thing.

Kind schmind. I got to spend a couple of hours with THE Tony Morgan.

You all are totally jealous of me, I can tell.

You won't be talking about your Mac, you'll be talking about how sucky it is those times you *have to* go back to your Windows box.
