1. I've cooled off considerably since writing the initial post.

2. I don't want my friend stumbling across the post and thinking that it was a bigger deal than it actually was.

This post was originally a little mini-rant on race and the idea of equal opportunity in the U.S.

Oh, and I also meant to type smileykiley and nakednsf as the people whose entries led to all that drooling.
