I've been thinking about this: Rites of Spring was only around for two years, right? And all their material was released within a one year period. And as all of their songs share definitely similar themes, perhaps they're all about one person. Wouldn't that be wild? What would it feel like to be the person who inspired Guy Picciotto to, essentially, create the emo genre?

Probably pretty lousy, because by definition, you really would have had to broken his heart to make him write emo-y stuff.

That's weird to think about though. Maybe all those pained lyrics and breakdowns on stage were for one person.

That's kind of hard to imagine.

It really is. And it's been getting me back into Fugazi, which i'm appreciative of as well. I had started to forget about them for a while there.
