Is happiness really this hard to hold on to? It seems like by now there should be someway, as a society, to avoid this. I think the numbers for prescription medication alone show that something is terribly wrong. We should acknowledge that happiness does not come in a pill. There has to be another answer

The word itself is largely irrelevant. It goes without saying it won't give anyone else the same reaction it gave me, and therefore, the point of the story would be cheapened.

But more importantly, i think, it's much more interesting (for me) without it, haha.

I agree that you shouldn't have said it, because it would have been hard to understand without feeling what you were feeling when you heard it.

Mood swings...I have been having some pretty rough ones as well. I hope you are doing alright with that, although it sounds like you do have your "head on straight", as a member of an older generation might say.

You know, they're not even all that bad, they just come at such inopportune times. I'll be sitting around in Kelly's basement and nothing will be out of the ordinary and i'll just suddenly feel like being alone and probably in my bed. But when i actually am alone, of course, i want nothing more than to be in Kelly's basement with at least the three other people that are usually there.

So yeah, it's just more inconveinent than anything. Although i do appreciate the well wishings, and i pass the same on to you.
