Since I'm sure enough people are like "why in gods name are you playing a slide on the internet? Look at your life, look at your choices."
... Well, it is an amazing story that goes back to the double digit parts. Or maybe part 100, I'm not quite sure. BUT ANYWAY, an anon whose identity was eventually revealed but I'm not sure I should say here posted this video, shortly followed by this one. The first joke was the man behind the camera being England and Edward being America, but the meme took off with a "chubbumano breaks slides" joke. AND SO A MEME WAS BORN.
Me, being the silly and impressionable thing I am, was talking to ichkannsprechen-mun and was like "Hey y'know, we have table RPers, and no one's made a slide yet..." And she was like "Do it." and I went "OKAY" and did. Though I kind of wanted to anyway but her passive okay whatever you want made me go for it.
So then that happened. And then there was a godmod where the slide had to be Chibimano. I took this literally. But once the godmod ended, I was like, "Huh, I still have all those icons..." and so I decided to roll with it and shamelessly steal the foods' idea.
And that's the way it was for a while, and then Slide got turned into a girl by a magical potion. At first I kept everything the same because I wasn't sure where I was going with it, but I uh... really liked her as a girl so after I was out of Battle Royale I had time to go into Photoshop and completely decimate my icons. Idk it's silly that it made a difference but to me she... made more sense as a girl? Probably because my original concept of a human slide was a girl. ... For giggles if you want to see WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN, here's a doodle. Noting that the design of the girl-who-was-almost-Tony has been changed slightly 'cause I'm using it for something else now, buuuuut
