Today, I noticed that Facebook has privacy controls for Notes on par with what LJ offers (actually it is actually finer-grained controls). Therefore, I see no reason to continue using LJ. So see ya!

you can now. at the bottom, there's a "note privacy" selector.

mm... you know, I'm not exactly sure what happened with LJ. Three years ago it was a thriving community sort of thing for me, but now it's pretty much empty. I'm not sure if that means it's been replaced(by Facebook, for instance), or if some time has passed, or what exactly has changed to convert things from then to now.

On the other hand, I check Facebook too, so it's not like connections are completely gone. Maybe just moved.

I think that LJ, like Facebook, requires a critical mass. Once it fell below that critical mass, people become disinterested.
