I'm a straight male and I wish I was a woman. I wanna go through sex re-assignment surgery. How many heterosexual males go through sex re-assignment surgery?

I don't know what country you are from, so don't know what the process is for your country. In the UK the National Health Service will normally expect a person to present as their chosen sex for a certain period of time (maybe a year) before they will start offering treatment - hormones, surgery etc. I think that may be a good idea anyway to really clarify in your head that this is definitely something you want to do.

I'd get in touch with a health service - private or national, and see what they say.

Lots of them, actually. I know quite a few, it really isn't uncommon. Sexuality and gender are two different things. Your sexual preference does not change with your gender. Reach out, there are tons of groups out there who can help you.

Pretty sure very many. Do research on the resources available in your area; while surgery is an option, many trans women do not pursue surgical options for a variety of reasons.

There are many ways to transition into yourself; do the research, learn the language.
