Tumblr Alone, finally. Sam was studying at the library with a friend before sleeping over, Dean’s parents were seeing a show in the city, and Cas’s parents were letting him stay the night. It was going to be a night of pizza, movies, and ignoring the movies to make out.
They had only kissed the week before, in a moment of utter clarity in a broom closet, of all places, while skipping class. Ever since then, they had been sneaking kisses in empty classes and in each of their rooms, but neither place was safe from interruption.
Now, they had a whole night together, a whole night to do whatever they wanted. Castiel walked home with Dean, and when the roads and paths were clear, they even held hands. It was a bashful hold with trembling fingers, but it was…nice. Dean liked the way Cas’s hand was soft and sure when the shakes disappeared, and Cas liked the way Dean’s hand stroked his whenever he readjusted it and the way his fingers drummed to an unheard song.
They held hands watching the first movie, too shy to start anything, and even ordering the pizza, but as soon as Dean heard Cas ask for the meat special in that rough voice of his, he wanted to roughen it even more. Dean grabbed his best friend’s hand and pulled him up the stairs, still clutching on and stroking his fingers as they kissed on Dean’s bed, their palms only parting to roam through hair or over skin found by the rucking of shirts.
However, when the pizza came, they reluctantly removed themselves from one another so Dean could pay the pizza man (though Cas may have put the pizzas aside to thoroughly acquaint his and Dean’s tongues when he remembered the porno with the pizza man). Through the second movie, pizza was more important than holding hands, but as soon as only grease and crumbs were left, making out became more important than anything else.
"This is really awesome, you know that?" Dean broke away to pant.
Cas gave him a crooked smile. “Yeah, I know that.”
Blushing and burying his grinning face in Cas’s neck, Dean mumbled, “Jus’ makin’ sure.”
"Now that we’re sure this is awesome," Cas said, his lips to the shell of Dean’s ear, "can we go back to the kissing?"
"Don’t have to ask me twice."
With that, Dean pressed his plump lips in a line all the way from Castiel’s collar bone to his mouth, revelling in the hums of approval he made.
Sometime in the middle of the fourth movie, they ceased their incessant kissing to fall asleep on the couch, wound around each other, their fingers still intertwined. Yeah, being alone was truly awesome.
