My car hates winter. Winter isn't too fond of my car either.

Thanks to below zero temperatures all weekend, my car's battery is dead. It's to be expected because it happens during every cold snap. I'm not even fazed or bothered by it. It wouldn't turn over and I thought, "Well, I'll deal with it tomorrow 'cause I'm not standing out in the dark and cold to deal with this tonight." I'll ring AAA tomorrow ( Read more... )

I can't believe how cold it's been there. It's insane. I hope you have lots of soft blankets and cocoa!

I've been baking almost daily to warm up the apartment. Cookies and cheese buns and baked pastas. I've had my cold nose in cookbooks.

mmm ... almost makes me wish I was there to help you eat it all. Almost. You know, aside from that whole negative degrees thing. Not to rub it in, but it was in the 40s here today. Fancy coming for a visit? ;)

Y'know, when I get some $$ together, I should come visit. (Now that I've said this, I know that other people are going to call me on it!) I've never been out that way.

I wanna move to London where I won't have to drive and they don't have subzero temperatures. More temperate climates are a cheap plane ride away too.

My battery was dead this morning too, I'm waiting on a tow truck right now, a 2 hour wait. Looks my store isn't going to open until, uh, noon!

I'm sorry to read this. I hope you don't get in trouble at work. I may regret it later, but I haven't done anything about my car yet because I figure that everyone who doesn't have a garage has a dead battery.

Naaa, I don't get in trouble at work. Two winters ago there was a Saturday that I didn't open the store at all! So, Chris and I work together (and live together) and his car didn't start this morning either. When the tow truck guy showed up at the house for my car, he somehow got Chris' to start and the battery seems fine. It was an awful way to start the day though:)

Ugh. Car problems. I hadn't realized how cold it has been all over (Ft. Lauderdale has limited deviation from the usual temp, heh), until this morning when I finally paid attention to the weather section of the news-- wow! My jaw actually dropped when they said a lot of places would remain in the negatives for some time. I will say though, even though I bet you're sick of it right now, I have only seen snow once and long to see it again...

I'm not one of those Midwesterners who complains about snow and winter for the most part. I like snow and have been disappointed that there hasn't been more of it. I like walking through new snowfall and appreciate that the snow means temperate winter weather.
