Memo sent to all aurors, Ministry department heads who need to know, and Headmaster Snape

ooc: Retcon of the Head of Auror department. Instead of Dawn having run the department Dawlish was given the promotion after Harry stepped down. He's been in charge for the last ten years. This is being done because I don't want to NPC an original character that used to be active, but hasn't been around in months. This way we can move forward with the plot without anyone feeling stressed or pressured to keep up with something that they don't have time for or have no interest in. Thanks.

From the desk of Gideon Prewett:

Tomorrow morning the Daily Prophet will be releasing the findings of the auror investigation into what happened last month during the full moon. The public will be made aware that the Wolfsbane that was sold in two shops in London, one shop in Milan, two shops in Venice, and one shop in Hogsmeade was tainted. The same supplier was responsible for the Wolfsbane that was sold to each of these shops. As of right now it is unknown if this was a tragic and negligent mistake, or if this was done on purpose. Hit wizards have been sent after the supplier, and as of the report I received an hour ago they were closing in on bringing him in for questioning. It is unknown at this time how many of the registered and unregistered werewolves were infected with the tainted wolfsbane. Aurors are continuing the investigation to determine an exact number. The wolfsbane sold this month appears not to be tainted.

Dawlish submitted his resignation as the Head of the Auror department effective immediately due to matters of a personal nature. He has served our department well, and he will be missed.

I was asked this morning to step up as the new department head. I accepted the offer, and I'm looking forward to working with all of you to ensure we close this investigation as quickly as possible. If you have any questions you can reach me via owl.
