Say the magic word and get yourself a new car

The magic word was "timing," as in "timing chain," which broke in my Saturn last Friday. This spelled death as the cost to repair all the damage was well over the actual value of the car, given that it was 14 years old and had over 165K miles. I wasn't too upset as if it hadn't been that, it would probably have been something else relatively soon, ( Read more... )

Dude, that's my car. Except that I have the 2007 WITH the outlet.
Neener. Eat your heart out.

I should go plug something in right now JUST CAUSE I CAN!

(But yeah, no AWD)

Clearly you are cooler than I am.

I'm not even sure what I'd plug into the outlet if I had one. Shaving in the car seems like a poor idea. I'm thinking coffee maker.

You know, I think about this too. Especially when someone new is riding in the car and says, "Why do you have an outlet in your car?"

I guess you could avoid buying the cigarette-lighter adapter for products, like the cell phone charger or whatever.

But there are also TWO cigarette-lighter outlets in the front of the car (do you have two? one in the dash and one inside the center console?) so it seems there is no shortage of plugging in.

I'll just plug in the breast pump and go at it down the highway. ;)

Yes, I have the two 12V outlets. I guess the 115V outlet does save you from having to get adapters for everything, but since we already have adapters for everything the storage box they gove you instead might end up being more useful.

I'd definitely go with the breast pump - as a new mom you'll need to make efficient use of your time.
