There is some research suggesting that subtle cues in one's environment can increase the likelihood of some kinds of behavior. So it really is possible that PC users might recycle more than they otherwise would have. Mac users, usually being hippies, probably recycle more anyways.

I recycle but I use a PC and a Mac for about the same amount of time during the week. Our entire mass comm. department is exclusively mac, as I think the majority of campus is. Hmm...there are a lot of hippies here.
