I've been home a little over a week now. I have worked at Subway a week and I already wish I wasn't. I hate customers. While I know there are evil customers at every job, it is more that I know these customers and they know me. That is too much intamacy for $8 a an hour. Mom and Dad (Mom particularly) have never understood the concept of men and women being just friends. Mom, of course, also thinks that nothing about dating has changed since 1968.

It's true, and while I know this, it continues to frustrate me. I think it mainly annoys me because she is rational about some things.

She confided to me that Grandma Carpenter wishes Joe had found a virgin. Mom then said to me, "try and find one anymore, yeah right." Then again, perhaps Mom just thinks I'm a tramp, which would be funny. Grandma Carpenter is an odd cookie.

Btw, Mom also speculated as to whether you would ever marry or if you and Jill were just "hanging out as some people do." What a silly family.
