Baseballs suck!

So I went to a health seminar with Mandie for health class called Sex On The Rocks. It was about drinking and sex, aren't they clever? It was possibly the most boring presentation I've ever attended. You would think they would at least try to relate the topic to Carbondale but no, it was just a powerpoint with statistics. The text didn't even fly ( Read more... )

Golly, sunshine. I thought I had problems.

Our ice cream truck escapade shall include a baseball boycott of one form or another.

Like the ice cream bombing of some baseball factory, perhaps?

Thanks for the comment, I'm feeling much better, yo.

We can't waste the precious ice cream! We'll just have to build a protective shield around the ice cream truck to protect it from baseballs. I'm glad you're feeling better.

Sometimes I find that gay men are the ones that understand us the least just because they think they understand what it like to be treated like a woman. They understand a bit, but they think they shoulder everything the same way we do. But, their parents raised them as males and gave them male priveleges probably just like everyone else did or still does before they knew/if they don't know they're gay. It's this assumption that they know what it is like that I see get in the way of many of them. At least maybe a straight, white man has no presumptions about what it is like to be treated inferior and therefore doesn't act like "HAY GUYS, I'm just one of you and I know what you go through."

Lol, sorry if all that was uncalled for.

lol It wasn't uncalled for, I can agree with it. That's a good point about how they do start off with those male priveleges, I had never really thouht about it before. But yeah, they do experience a completely different type of oppression, and I think a lot of people confuse the subjects sometimes. Women are fighting the role society gave them, and gay men are fighting to gain the acknowlegment that they have a place in society.
