In general, or really, aside from (as far as I know) the case of American women in WWII, war has been nothing but absolute hell for women, especially in non-western countries. During times of war, or militarization, women are treated as territory to be conquered by the opposing side through rape and massacre.

Yeah that's what I've been reading alot of. But luckily my focus has to be on women in America who didn't face the same kind of brutality. Not to say that war wasn't hard on America women, but as far as my paper is concerned the fact that it was hard seemed to help women out in the long run because they gained respect and proved that they had the capacity to handle those kinds of things. The whole argument is really simplistic and I'm sure if I looked into it further I would have more trouble writing this. Luckily it's only english 120 and they will accept a simple argument.

I hate when looking further into a topic makes it harder to write on. I'm avoiding that right now, myself.
