I had thought being in Domino for the holidays things wouldn't feel so empty. As much as being close to the city can be a bother sometimes at least there are distractions on hand. More people around me, more life. But now that the mansion is under repair theres no use staying.

Duelist Kingdom is quite barren in the winter. The wind in the towers often sounds like a soul being torn.

Thank-you very much Jou, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it. I'll be looking forward to hearing all about it though. I'm sure you'll have a very special day and my best wishes for the New Year.

To tell you the truth, I can't think of anything snappy to say about this.

I suppose, all I can really say, is that around Christmas people are reminded of those close to them a lot, as everyone else is getting together with their families and loved ones. So, when you don't have that, Christmas seems a very lonely time of year, possibly lonelier than most. Just like back in school when it's Valentine's day and everyone else is receiving things from their lovers and you're sitting all alone in a corner with nothing.

I have to say I am grateful that I have Mokuba and Jou now, despite mom and dad not being able to be here, but I'd hate to be in your shoes where all you really have are your servants.

I'm sorry.

Also, you should receive something in the mail within a few days, if not today.

Yes, I'm sure the tradgedies of the Crawford family have been fodder for the tabloids for years. It's a pity I'm the only one left to keep up the tradition.

That had best not be another complaint about your contract Mr Kaiba. I was not pleased with the last round from you.

It's not silly to miss people when they are gone, especially around this time of year. It's important that you remember them since it keeps them closer to us and makes them seem alive. Keep setting that alarm early and keep watching the sunrise. Remember her and she will be with you always.

Ah! Listen to me getting all cliche and sentimental. It's so unlike me...

Thank-you for your kind words Miss Valentine. And don't worry, a gentleman never tells. Your softer side is safe with me dear Lady.

By the by, did you receive my appology letter for the party? I will of course pay for any dammages you may have suffered due to the untimely destruction of my home. I'd hate to think that lovely versace you were wearing came to any harm.

Thank you, Pegasus. You really are a doll.

Not yet but there's really no need. The Versace is safe and still beautiful. Though I'd hate to think of all those paintings and china getting destroyed. Nothing too important was lost, I hope?

No, no. Nothing important. As they say, there are no pockets in a shroud. Possessions are never as important as people after all. I'm simply relieved noone was seriously hurt.

I'm honestly afraid to look at the gossip columns today. I'm afraid most will be focusing on the bad more than the good and my next little gathering will have little attendance.

By the way, I enjoyed the party the other night and sitting at your table was quite a treat! :3 Thank you for the invitation. I do hope you'll attend one of my recitals I have coming up.

That's very sweet of you to say Miss Mazaki. I'm doing well enough on my own, but thank-you kindly for asking.

I found your company to be quite delightful and was most grateful you accepted my invitation. I would truely love to attend one of your recitals as I've been told your talents show much promise.

Very well; however, should you change your mind, I'm here ok?

The honor was all mine ^_^ Wonderful. My next one is coming up after the first of the year. Usually afterwards, we'll go to a quaint coffee shop nearby and chat and hang out for a while.
