Chinese herbs. Seriously. If you're willing to take a trip over to China town, I have a Chinese doc I can refer you to. When I started going, pain that had been with me since I was 12 was gone within 3 months. That's what really made me a believer in Chinese medicine. That lasted for severl years until I started having some other imbalances and that's what I've been going back for recently (I go to a place locally now though). But anyway, the guy in China town used to only charge $10 to see you and the herbs ran between $15 - $25. Can't beat that.
intestinal problems are pretty common with me at that time of the month. :P my usual solution is to hit a local Asian grocery (which is not too hard, these days *grin*) and get some umeboshi (aka "pickled ume," "pickled ume plums" or "pickled Japanese plums") and green tea. the combination of the two of those is great for straightening out stomach problems.
