Congratulations to Vincent...

...he's now a Second Life land owner, right next to Heaven's Night (practically) and directly across from the chapel. Now with a screenshot. From the noises Vincent's been making, chances are good that Brookhaven will be going in next, unless he thinks of something he likes better ( Read more... )

That would be so cool! It's fun to dream...

One day I'd actually like to own a whole sim. I'd have to special-order it; I don't think I could get away with calling it Silent Hill, though.

But it'd sure be fun to be able to re-create the town with roads and bridges and everything in their places. I could even provide a specific terrain map to Linden Labs so they could create the topography of Silent Hill very closely!

Oh yes, I'm dreaming. X)

a Rosewater Park would be nice-- but it'd have to be next to a body of water to work... :P

Ugh. Bowling. >_< Seriously, it's kinda fun to think about things that could be built on there. Since it's Second Life, the natural urge is to make places that people could "hang out" in, be social. But there aren't too many friendly places left in SH. Neely's may have been a popular bar at one point, but it's all cleaned out and junked now. No decor, y'know ( ... )

Hm...I'll have to eye the place, see if I can fit in a dungeon somewhere. If not at HN, then perhaps in Brookhaven, if Vincent is willing.

Privacy, though, may be a concern. I'm divided on the idea of doing risque play or outright sex on the ground, even within the confines of a building. Having spied on my neighbor quite a few times during his virtual flings by simply using the free-roaming camera has really opened my eyes to the fact that there is no real privacy in SL.

However, if one flies up above 500 (or, say, makes a little hovering dungeon in the sky), your little green dot doesn't show on the map. This provides some measure of freedom from spying eyes, as long as they don't know where exactly in the sky one is hiding!

What are your thoughts on this? Do you happen to care if someone is watching you have virtual sex? *grins*

Oh! And incidentally, I have a real hard-on for Jack's Inn. I'd love to see that built; there was some discussion, in fact, whether to build Brookhaven or Jack's Inn next. It really is such a model Silent Hill location...perfectly seedy and run-down.

I'd love to figure out a feasible way to rent the rooms to people! I know it can be done! I've seen quite a few places doing this, and even allowing tenants a certain prim allotment for their rooms.

Random thoughts: A Pyramid Head avatar needs to be made. And someone needs to make a radio complete with on/off switch and various static sounds (which play when clicked). And holy crap would I love to see a Dahlia avatar! I'd so make a gyromancy animation for her!
