Well. I've finally decided to make this journal/blog/thing semi-public. By which I mean, some "personal" entries will be open to the general public. Though to be quite honest, I don't really know what's classified as personal anymore.
To those who don't know me, hello. My name is Ness. I'm a teenager living (and blogging) in Australia. I speak Cantonese (of the bad, patchy type) and very little Vietnamese (some foods, and a little inkling of what people are talking about. Sometimes.) I was also born and raised here, so don't go around telling me I've stolen your scholarship/place/job, 'kay?
Interests? I knew this would come up. Admittedly, I'm a little... peculiar for my age. By which I mean, I follow politics and the economy avidly and find theory and structure fascinating. The theory behind how stuff works - doesn't matter if I'm dissecting and analysing another one of Debussy's piano pieces, or learning how to make a corset, or even researching the way DNA works (or what we know of it).
(For the record, I have little, or next to no interest at all in popular music and films. I'm more into the indie or overseas stuff. Mmm, imports.)
What do I want from life? Ha. Well, as a friend of mine said: What you want to be, and what you actually become can be two very different things. As such, I have a tendancy towards planning ahead. It's better to go on that path, find out it's not what you want and still have time to do something else because you haven't been mucking around, right? Well, that's what it's like for me at the moment, anywho (I'm still young. Really.)
(And if you think I'm arrogant, well, I might as well like myself because if I don't then who will?)
♥,
i'd like to inform you
