6:30 am. I take back what I said about that vintage pattern.  Dress looks horrible.  Ugh.  Looks like a frumpy witch costume or a black tent.   Spent all week on it too.  That's the risk of a dress you can't try on.  At least it didn't cost too much ( Read more... )

If you decide you want to make a crinoline at some later date, let me know if you want help.

If you don't already have one, you might want to consider a merry widow or something similar. I've learned that having "foundation garments" that give the correct (i.e., period) body lines can make all the difference. With your height, you'd look great in those 50s "New Look" styles.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Maybe foundation would help - but the top is just too big - and it's lined. Thnx.
