Me: Sure, here you go. Oh, hey, that's my coffee.

Woman: I'm moving it, I'm going to sit here. Are you English?

Me: No.

Woman:  Oh, I thought you were a Kiwi or an Australian or something.

Me:  No, I guess when you're in Gastown everyone looks like a tourist, right?

As long as the "Why did you take me there?" wasn't an anger/fear thing for her (or you, for that matter).

i remember it as being a sort of wistful confusion. it was certainly tapping into something difficult for her because that's where the whole tone of the conversation changed. still, it was an amazing talk; the whole time i felt like something supernatural was suspended in the air around us.
