what's the difference between subjunctive and conditional, is it the same thing?

("aber was bedeutet 'subjunctive?' wir haben nur konjunktiv gelernt!")

conditional is what he/she/it would or could do if certain x happens, subjunctive is like "she wants you to do to this," "he wishes she's shut up"..used with desear, querer, ojala (I think)//to express desires, hopes, things that may happen in the future but have no specific conditions attached to them.. sorry if this didn't help, it's been a while since I took Spanish.

Same with French. Subjunctive is used with emotions, basically -- desire, doubt, hope feel wish, et cetera, whereas conditional is, y'know. USEful.
