What if you did smiley faces. Do a crowd of smiley faces with turbans and little hands holding peace signs, and then a big smiley face upfront, way bigger than them, with a turban and little hands out to the side with detonaters. Itd be happy AND thought provoking! The smiley faces with peace signs could all be looking at the big smiley with the detonater, but everyones smiling! Do something with smileys bottom line. make it simple and graphical. Illustrator, no real drawing. PUNCH IT OUT!!! I like your posters man, who really gives a fuck what some gay art kids think EVER?! Are our country's TOP political cartoonists any different??? Borgman and Ramirez do VERY dark subject matter rather often.

you dont have to explain away shit you said a year ago to anyone, all you have to do is look at them like they're a retard and shake your head. You let yourself switch to defensive mode too easily and I think that may be why your art gets darker and darker, as the release of aggressive and highly confident behavior pent up inside you doesn't fully release itself via your personality ( ... )

I definitely think you're right about the, "pent up emotions," coming out in my work. If you saw that illustration I did for printing class...yeah. If not: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/tophat987654/Just-dont-askweb.gif. This looks like nothing I've done...ever in my entire history of drawing, and it came out of no where.

I think that ostridge idea sounds good, and quite funny. I think I'll draw that!

FYI. Greg showed them to Bonnie (top student in the program) and she said "this guy is born to be a rock poster designer." She loves the illustration, says "work on the type." (she does not give out compliments freely)

If you would like to come over and get some help on a new direction just let me know. Or I will be at the library on Sat evening.

Really? Wow. I definitely feel better about that now:.) I've haven't met Bonnie yet. You should introduce me some time! I've worked on the type since I posted the pictures, though, but...I've decided, though to go in a direction of political cartoons...of ostridges! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y188/tophat987654/elephant.gif... )
