So, in New Jersey, on May 1 we have a law going into effect that requires all provisional drivers (17 year olds) to put bright red stickers on their license plates identifying that they are 17 ( Read more... )

i think this is a good idea. just because you're seventeen doesn't mean you're a bad driver - it's the new-ness of driving that makes you bad.

I thought so too. Like, aside from the vehicular safety part, it seems kind of unsafe for you to go around and have everyone know you're 17.

What do you do if you share a car? I know a lot of people that got their license and had to borrow their siblings car, or their parents. Just because there's a sticker doesn't truly mean that you're 17 anyway..

They're easily removable but when you remove them you will be able to tell that one was once there or something. So I think like velcro or something along those lines.

haha, i'd just take mine off all the time. even if you can see it's been there, they wouldn't notice it as easily, or they'd assume i was the older person who shared the car.

IDK about you guys, but most of the time when I spot a horrible driver they're 30-45. It's not just teens.
