What model is Neil? If he's Linuxable and you'd be interested, I might be able to help make him look rather XPish. I kinda combined the best bits of its interface and Gnome when setting Luke up.

I'll check at some point because I'll have to admit I have no idea what model Neil is right now. I'm not very good at noticing things like that, and as you might guess I'm kinda helpless when it comes to the finer points of computers in general so I usually keep everything pretty simple much to the horror of all the more nerdy people I know.

To be honest I may just have been too quick to judge Neil as he is. I always forget how hard it is to get used to something new. I think I'll try to see if I can figure things out over the next few days, but if I just can't get used to it I'll come running and see if you can help me out. :)

And thanks for replying with the offer of help by the way, I didn't really expect anybody to respond, I was more or less just writing this for the sake of complaining I think.

Right-click on the desktop. Click "personalize." Click "theme." You can make it look like Windows classic (why you would want to is beyond me...)

Also, yes. Just be grateful.

I've played around with it a bit today and I'm very slowly getting used to all the new things so I think I'll manage. I was just grumpy yesterday I guess. I shouldn't try things out when I'm grumpy. I think Neil and I will end up getting along quite fine if I just take the time to get to know him.

And the whole does-not-like-changes is a personal quirk or something I suppose. I've actually gotten a lot better over the years.
