As Europeans we are blessed with freedoms that many nations less fortunate than ourselves are being denied. Often we open our borders to welcome those living under dictatorships, those who are being denied the very basic of human rights and those poor souls in the 3rd world who can't afford to put food on the table to feed their families ( Read more... )

The repubs have made it so that those who don't choose the Obama Care (my family, we already have insurance) make our employer provided insurance costs raise over the next 4 years. Since I was married, our out of pocket went from $900 total for a family to $2000, and we are paying more per paycheck. Add in my daughter's disease that costs us roughly $1000 a month and we are nearly poor, but do not qualify for any assistance because my husband makes too much money.

My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and she requires a lot of medical care and cosntant monitoring, insulin, supplies, will be going on an insulin pump etc. I don't want to hijack your post on that.

I looked into switching to the new insurances available and we got word from my husbands employer that if we did end our service through them, we would NOT be welcomed back to it.

So yes, thank you Republicans. Fuck you politics.

This confused me to some degree. I can't tell if this means you would benefit from a change in health care reforms or not...
