I'm glad to hear that you got the interview. It's not that the employers don't like people in drag, but work is at least semi-formal and I've learned that if you want an employer to take you seriously you have to play their game. That is, at least until you get hired.

Well honestly man, showing up in drag isn't the best way to get an interview. It's best to dress "normally" and conservatively. I hate to tell you not to dress the way you want, but it's just a fact of life.
