also, celebrating the end of summer is a strange concept. maybe it makes sense for you because your workload will decrease or evaporate, but most people lament the end of summer.
i also think it's funny when people talk about anniversaries of things that aren't very nice memories. Like the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, or the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the anniversary of John Lennon's assassination. These things should be remembered, of course, but I think we need a new word that connotes the appropriate gravity. Something like Badiversary.

When you said, "The Wal-Mart was bonkers," I read, "The Wal-Mart was broken." However, it still made sense to me.
