I spent the night driving to the Ukrainian border, picking up the refugees who made it through the border and bringing them to our house. It is mind-blowing how different the reality is from what we see on Twitter and in the media, how much more complex, nuanced and tangled it is then the black-and-white propaganda and Twitter activists' outrage ( Read more... )

The internet and mobile phones provide a greater flow of information from conflicts these days. We no longer have to rely just on the carefully curated output of the BBC and equivalent, but that leads to the problem of trying to sift the truth from the flood of distortions, propaganda and downright lies.

Ive lived in Iraq, and traveled to many other different regions. The truth is an incredibly relative thing, depending on where you’re standing and no, most people definitely do not want to deal with the complexities of reality.

That's because BigTech has chosen sides. And the wrong sides because they are pro-authoritarian governments. They relate to them because they stroke their egos controlling people. They want Canada to go full communist dictatorship. And no surprise they're rootin' for Putin because they relate to him. Sickening. They should lose all Section 230 protection. Hence why you don't allow one entity to gain a monopoly.
