That sounds wonderful! I will remember the tip about afternoon teas. Re which goes on the scone first, forget the Cornwall/Devon disagreement. I simply go by consistency. Whichever one is the stiffest goes on first.

I'm not sure I've had clotted cream before. All the food you've described sounds good to me.

Wow, home made clotted cream! Sounds amazing. I can remember when you used to be able to buy it home made from farmers in Devon, probably squished into an old yoghurt pot or something, but I think those days are gone.

Glad to hear that the effort is appreciated, I hope the refugees were as impressed as the locals!
