Biden

Do you think Biden should run in 2024? Will he be fit to run the U.S. and the West till 2028, especially in these trying times?

I miss top performers at their peak leading the free world. I miss the Obama / Bill Clinton vibe a lot.

us, biden

Yes, I think Biden will run again. We have no Democrat contenders. I don't think he will have any choice. The only one waiting in the wings is Kamala Harris, the Vice President. I don't think she is ready. I do think that if Biden dies before completing his term she will prove herself but probably cannot win on her own ( ... )

I just don't understand how come the Democratic Party has no good contenders. How did it happen? Why?
PS: As much as I want Ukraine to win and triumph in this war and going forward, I absolutely and deeply despise Zelensky (as do many people around here, "closer to source"), but now is not a good time for that conversation.

I am in Moldova and I travel to Ukraine once or twice a week to help the refugees get out. We also host the refugees here.

I don't think anyone should run for office once they're past a certain age. Biden is an old man- and shows signs of mental and physical decline. We don't need the world to be run by geriatrics.

I don't think that the cutoff age is the way to go. I think it should be on a case-by-case basis. If you are still mentally and physically fit enough to do it, you should be able to go for it.

There are many organizations and countries run by "Elders". They are thought to have the wisdom that younger people don't have. The US constitution required candidates for president to be 35 years old but that was a time when life expectancy was 50 or 60.

It is also true that the presidency ages men at a terrific rate. (We don't have any data for women.) Most presidents have been in their 50s. Before Biden the oldest president was Ronald Reagan.

There were lots of candidates who I would have preferred to see elected in 2020 but that didn't happen. We'll see what the next years have in store.

Honestly I don't think he will be able to. Physically or mentally. Getting old is horrible for anyone regardless of their position in life. People just don't live as long as they did way way back in the time of the talking burning bush. I mean ok Moses lived to 900 or something ridiculous like that-these days people are lucky if they get past 100.

Also just gonna say it .I miss the 80s and Reagan. Ok so he was a republican but still he was entertaining atleast.

Not really a fan of the Clintons but I do like Obama. Bring back Obama if we can't have Reagan.

I still miss the 80s though. I mean hair bands-Motley Crue..Shout at the Devil..Cyndi Lauper...Goonies...Johnny 5...Karate Kid...Star Trek the original movies with Kirk and Spock Bones ect...I atleast understood the 80s. These 2000s I'm over it after 22 yrs. I want the 80s back.
