“You name it, Totchi got it.” Toshiya smirked childishly as he laid half of his body on his lover, while aimlessly watching the single sakura tree from the porch swing where they were cuddling.

“Oh really?” Die pretended to think. “How ‘bout a bating suit?”

Oddly, the shorter of the two fidgeted and turned away instead of talking back. Toshiya had not been one to lose in this kind of battle with Die. It had always been either Die would give up because he hadn’t made anymore sense or the red head would end up apologizing because he had gotten mad. In a more rational way, it could be said that it was actually Die who was on the winning side, but Toshiya liked to see things the other way.

“Hey.” Sensing the other’s weird attitude, Die poked the brunette’s side with his finger. He didn’t get a response other than another fidget. “What’s wrong?” He started to get worried.

Toshiya turned his head to face die before shaking his head. “Nothing.” He faked a smile.

Die knew something was utterly wrong but if his lover didn’t want to talk about it, then they won’t. He wouldn’t want to be engaged in an argument with him, besides, he was sure he would find out whatever it is bothering the other, sooner or later.

---

“Hey. We haven’t done anything special this spring.” Toshiya pouted. It was already a custom to them to do something out of the ordinary once in a while. “Don’t you have anything up your sleeves for me?” He gave Die his signature puppy eyes as they sat on the couch.

“Hmm… Actually, I do.” Die grinned. “A hot spring!” He exclaimed enthusiastically.

“A… a hot spring?!” The brunette blurted out loud in shock.

“Yes! It’s a perfect way to celebrate spring. Plus…” He paused as he pinched the other’s nose and shake his head through it. “…we haven’t been to any hot spring before.”

Toshiya sunk deeper in the couch, not bothering to reply.

Noticing his boyfriend’s, yet again, sudden change of mood, Die asked, “Don’t you want to?”

“No…” The younger one shook his head. “I want to. But…” He bit his lip.

“But?” Die leaned closer to get a better view of Toshiya who didn’t finish his words.

“Nothing.” Toshiya shook his head again in a quicker pace. “I’m hungry.” He turned away from the subject.

Die was now more certain than ever that there was something wrong. And he knew he was a step nearer to the answer to the problem. But how many steps left, he didn’t have a clue.

---

Die had tried dragging Toshiya to a movie, to shopping, to the zoo, to a restaurant, to bars and to anywhere they could possibly go to all in one day. Unfortunately, he hadn’t got anything out from his lover which might give him a clue. He sighed as he laid on the bed he and Toshiya was sharing while the other was taking a shower. His hand moved up and down the empty space beside him before landing on his lover’s pink teddy bear. He played with the fluffy thing absentmindedly, thinking of something.

They had been together for almost a year, and surprisingly, they haven’t done anything further than an innocent kiss. But Die didn’t mind it. For him, making love should come naturally and he didn’t mind waiting for it as long as it was Toshiya on the line. He knew Toshiya was new to everything since he was the feminine boy’s first boyfriend, first lover to be precise. He could sense that the other wasn’t ready for this yet, so he did nothing but wait for his innocent Toshiya. He just hoped it would be really soon, ‘because he had been holding himself for a long time.

“Waah! Why are you molesting my Kyo-chan?” Toshiya, with his pajama on, squeaked and ran to save his toy from Die who was poking the bear’s round stomach. He stole the bear from his lover and hugged it.

“Because you were taking so long, thus, I felt the need to molest something else.”  The red head got up on a sitting position to hug his lover, squeezing the fluffy thing in between them.

“Eeeeeeek! Kyo couldn’t breath.” The younger squealed again, trying to free himself from Die’s grasp. When all his efforts were ignored, Toshiya bit the others shoulder.

“Aw!” Die squealed in return before his lips formed a grin. “I just learned something new.”

“Something new?” Toshiya frowned.

“Yeah! That you bite really hard and I should be more careful from now on.” The red head got nothing but a pout from his lover. “Hey, what about we go to the beach this weekend?”

Fidget. Toshiya fidgeted. “Why?”

A single spark appeared in Die’s eyes when Toshiya finally gave a satisfying reaction. The only thing he has to do know was decipher the clues. “Because! We haven’t done anything special this spring.” He quoted the other’s words.

“But it’s too cold to a beach.” The brunette bit his lip with worry in all caps written on his forehead.

“What do you want then?”

“I don’t really know.” Toshiya still wasn’t back to his normal joyful self that made Die a little worried.

What do bating suit, hot spring and beach have in common? The red head thought wanting to help the other from misery and to satisfy his curiosity at the same time. Die remained silent to think things through until the idea hit him. He wasn’t quite sure but he wanted to give it a try. “I asked you about hot spring before, but you didn’t seem to be fond of it.”

“It’s not that. It’s just…” The pretty one fidgeted once again.

“Come on, hot spring is the perfect place. Let’s give it a try, please?” It was Die’s turn to cast puppy eyes on his lover. Being around Toshiya a lot made him adapt some of his gestures.

“Just-promise me-to take me home-when things get bad.” Toshiya said hesitantly.

The red head couldn’t see anything wrong that might happen but he agreed with it anyway. “Alright, I promise.”

---

“If you really don’t want to, you could still back out.” Die said as he noticed his troubled lover who was sitting on the passenger’s seat while he was driving. His lover did nothing but squinted his eyes and shook his head anxiously. He suddenly stopped the car. “Tell me honestly, do you want to or not?” His voice was calm and there was no trace of irritation or the likes in it.

“Don’t mind me.” Toshiya shook his head once again. “Let’s go.”

Die complied with Toshiya’s request and continued driving knowing well that he could free the other from his depression.

---

“It’s beautiful!” Toshiya’s eyes widened at the sight of sakura trees adorning the steaming water below. The pink petals were reflected on the half-clear half-hazy water. The wind blowing softly, playing with every single light pink petal made the scene more breath taking. “Die! This is beautiful!” He said as he tugged at yukata.

“I told you.” He smiled sweetly at his amused lover. “Come on.” He took the other’s hand.

Fidget. “No. Go ahead; I’ll watch you from here.” The brunette smiled rather foolishly.

“What? We didn’t come all over from Tokyo to Kyoto just to watch, did we?”

Toshiya bit his lip and shook his head slowly.

---

While they were taking a shower in the shower room, Toshiya suddenly spoke. “Die?”

“Yes?” Die answered from the cubicle beside Toshiya’s.

“You go first, I’ll follow you a little later. I promise.”

There was a hint of fear in Toshiya’s voice but Die didn’t miss it. “Is something the matter?”

“No.” The pretty one shook his head even though the other couldn’t see him. “It’s nothing, don’t worry about me.”

“If that’s what you want then okay. I’ll wait for you there.”

“Okay.”

“Ja!”

“Ja!” Toshiya replied. He sighed deeply when he felt his lover had walked away. He dried his body with a little towel before putting it around his waist. He bit his lip the moment he looked down at his body. He looked up then closed his eyes, praying for courage. After a couple of minutes, he sighed again. “You can do this Toshiya!” He told himself, brining a fist up in front of his face. Finally, he decided to join Die.

---

Die was waiting rather anxiously as he enjoyed the hot water. He kept looking at the door connecting to the shower room then finally, what he had been waiting for finally came into view. It wasn’t like anything he had expected.

Toshiya got his upper limbs tangled in front of his body to hide his exposed flesh. “Don’t look at me like that.” He pouted while blushing.

Sure Toshiya had worn short skirts before, but Die had never seen him like this. It was beyond beautiful, way beyond beautiful, he thought to himself. He gulped, eyes never blinking even once.

Since his lover didn’t seem to hear him, Toshiya decided to run and plunged himself onto the steamy water without taking the towel around his waist off, before his knees get weak from the look Die was giving him.

“I knew it!” Die stated out of the blue.

“Knew what?” The brunette frowned, looking at his lover’s eyes intently to avoid him from looking downwards.

“That you were shy.” The red head gave Toshiya his signature grin. If Toshiya had a signature puppy eyes, Die had his signature grin.

“I’m not.” Toshiya denied.

“Really?” Without another word, Die dived under the water to get a better look at his lover.

Toshiya quickly dived under as well. He waved his hands in front of his boyfriend’s face to prevent him from looking at his body. But his movements were slow underwater so Die caught him.

Die caught both of Toshiya’s wrists with his hands. Still underwater, he made eye contact with his boyfriend who was freaking out. He then pulled him with one hand while the other searched for Toshiya’s neck then quickly dived in for a kiss which the brunette reluctantly didn’t reply at first as he was still struggling from Die’s grasp but then gave up ad replied the kiss with equal passion. Toshiya’s reply gave him the signal he was waiting for.

They broke the kiss and rose up the water. They were both panting but kept an eye contact. Only, the way Toshiya look at Die was the opposite of the way Die looked at the brunette. Toshiya had the usual innocence in his eyes while Die’s weren’t that innocent at all.

“Are you ready?” Die grinned.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Toshiya lied. He knew full well what the other was talking about but denied it. He couldn’t even believe he kissed Die like that. He touched his lip with his fingers. The kiss they shared felt rather good-no, it felt really good, he thought.

“Really? Okay.” Die said coldly then turned his back on Toshiya, preparing to leave.

Toshiya freaked out. Did he just hurt his Die? He asked himself. He didn’t, right? He tried to convince himself but to no avail. He was aware how hard it was for Die to wait for him. He knew he could never find another man who was willing to deprive himself of his needs just for his innocence’s sake. Tears started to form in the corner of his eyes as he realized what he just did. “No! Don’t go!” He screamed as reached out for Die. But too it was too late, Die already had his back on him and probably couldn’t…

The very moment he heard his lover’s voice he turned back to him and grabbed the other’s hand which was reaching out for him then pulled him into a hug. “I don’t want you to shed a single tear for me. Hold those tears back.”

Toshiya nodded on Die’s shoulder as he sniffed, trying hold back the tears. “Don’t go.” He repeated.

The red head pulled back from the hug. “Who said I was going?”

“But you-”

“I was just going to pick this up.” Die held a towel up.

Toshiya’s eyes almost popped out of their socket. He then looked at his totally uncovered body. He dived back into the water, leaving his head up the water level. He pouted.

Die dived in as well, keeping a face to face level with his lover. “You’re so attackable.” He smiled.

“Attackable?” The shorter one frowned deeply. “What does that mean? Is there even such a word?” His frown showed that he didn’t understand a thing.

“Of course!” Die grinned.

“What does that mean?” Toshiya tilted his head, confused.

“It means…” Die leaned closer and started attacking the younger one’s lips.

---

“So, what does being attackable mean?” They were already on their way home but Toshiya still didn’t understand.

“Do you want me to show you all over again?” Die grinned as he gave emphasis on the last words.

Toshiya pouted. “Tell me.” He tugged at Die’s shirt.

The red head sighed. “Being attackable is being lovable in every possible way.”
