Never heard of it. What is it?

Seems to be an intense prayer session that focuses on letting God into old wounds and dealing with them. But some think it edges too closely to Freudian psychology and opens the door for suggestive visualization. We need an article on it for work, but I'm getting the impression it's a much deeper issue than I'm qualified to speak authoritatively about.
