I spent most of today researching stuff on the internet. Not wasting my time. Not fiddlin with games. What was I researching?
Why birth control of course.
You see, I've decided I hate this pill a lot! But with the anger its instilled in me, I'm not surprised!
The side effects I've gotten from the bugger:
weight gain (10 to 15lbs)
increased appetite
decreased ability to process cholesterol
decreased libido
increased moodiness (like I'm frickin bi-polar or something angry to depressed to hyper @_@)
crazy breast tenderness
bad memory
So I've been researching my ass off about different kinds of progestins and their effects and concluded all hormone therapy can shove it up its ass! However, again, I've concluded maybe my doctor is full of shit.
Last time I went to him and concluded that the pill Ortho-Tri-Cyclen was makign me totally depressed... so I wanted something else for birth control. So what does he give me but a HIGHER PROGESTIN PILL. What the fuck is this guy on? From the small amount of researching I've done today I learned that if a chick is getting depressed from a pill you LOWER the progestin!
arg.
First pill I was on:
Ortho Tri-Cyclen
Estrogen: 35 micrograms, Progestin: 0.15mg/0.215mg/0.25mg
Pill I'm on now:
Ortho-Novum 1/35
Estrogen: 35 micrograms, Progestin: 1.00mg
The crazyness is in the numbers.
So what do I have my little eye on but something that I've heard nothing but goodness about, Alesse.
Which is:
Estrogen: 20 micrograms, Progestin: 0.1mg
Now doesn't that look friendly? :}}
A whoooole lot less hormones. Its not like I'm some 400 pound giant that needs a freaking milligram of progestin every day @_@
Luckily, the good thing about my doctor, if I go in there and tell him that I want Alesee, he will more than likely give me Alesse.
Unfortuantely I want off NOW and getting an appointment with my doctor takes more time than that -_-
Maybe I should just switch to a doctor that I can actually see when I need to -_-.
On a more positive note, I made cheese scones for the first time ever today. They're quite yummy but I think I need stronger cheese next time :)
