Please ignore this post. I just needed a place to put this image where it could be accessed by people not logged in to FB, and I currently don't have editing access to my web page.
I really hate Win 11 power management. I tell my tower to hibernate, and I'd say I have about a 50/50 chance of it going to sleep, then waking up again. So I have to tell it to hibernate again. I tried programming the power switch to hibernate, pretty much worthless.
I took this screencap from Linux Mint 21.3 on the Cinnamon Desktop. I was seeking help from the Linux forum on an issue I'm having with the brightness command which isn't available in my power management, so every time I plug in or unplug a power cable, the desktop drops to 5% brightness, overriding the established brightness, and I can't reset it outside of the power management settings.
Ew! That truly sucks. Has anyone come up with any good suggestions?
I would see the possibility of a daemon monitoring the brightness and kicking it back to the setting you want if it ever changes, but no clue how to go about programming such.
I did find a solution to my problems, so I'm happy.
