Perhaps I'm biased, but I have to say that this site here is the prettiest and best site I've ever laid eyes on. Whoever young fellow did this, I'd like to shake his hand.
Thanks! I forgot that you hadn't seen the cover art yet. I'm really happy with what the artist did. Initially, I was skeptical about his plans, but I had no choice but to use it when I saw that piece. I mean, damn. Glad you like it, though. I'm counting on the cover to garner interest in the material. Wait until you see what the interior artist is doing. It totally blew me away when she started sending me examples; it's sort of a cross between really great RPG art and comicbook art.
Nonemore did a super job on the site. I can honestly say that it's by far the best looking game company site I've seen. All the others are kind of craptacular, which surprised me. I guess it's cheaper to get a functional but ugly site. Did you see the Greenfairygames LJ avatar? That's courtesy of Nonemore also.
You know, I was going to say, "Sure, there are some really good-looking RPG company websites out there..." and then I realized that I couldn't think of any offhand. I even went and looked for some. I guess WoTC's looks okay but that's all I could find. So that puts you ahead of the game!
By the LJ avatar do you mean the gun? Who did the silhouette of the fairy with the smoking gun used on the website?
Speaking of which, my only suggestion for the website is to find a way to make the title/logo a little less pixellated. There is some fancy graphics term for that but I forget what it is. Maybe anti-aliasing?
The fairy graphic is also Nonemore. He'll also be doing layout on the book and design of the promo material, although the actual art for that is from the same guy who did the cover art. Yeah, the gun is the LJ avatar. It makes me strangely happy.
Oh yeah, I totally didn't notice that pixellation problem. Your computer must have really awesome graphics resolution. What do you think of the marketing copy I wrote for the site? That's the planned back cover text for the book next to the cover art.
