Waiting
Placing his cappuccino down, Nao sighed and looked towards the window of Starbucks to what must be the fiftieth time since he had entered the store.
It had been a long time since then and still, he waited.
Nao didn’t know what he was waiting for anymore. He didn’t know whether anything would improve between them. No, that was a lie. If this was anything to go by, he was probably right in thinking that, this relationship between them would never improve. And still here he was, sitting in Starbucks and waiting for him, waiting for something that was never going to happen. What a fool he was.
Standing up, he paid for his coffee and drank the last of it. He looked up one last time towards the window before he left with a bitter taste in his mouth, from the coffee or otherwise.
And still, Tora never came.
