[RL with Teddy]

[In his hive, Tavros nervously waits for Teddy's arrival. The place is a mess, with oogonibombs and cards strewn about, as he hasn't quite figured out a way to clean up since his accident. He can only hope that a messy dwelling isn't some sort of cultural offense where Teddy comes from ( Read more... )

[so the coordinates hadn't been quite perfect, since they had a whole planet to work with and not just one town, but he managed to get close enough that he can see the windmill about a 10 minute walk away. still dressed in his hoodie, track jacket, and a pair of jeans, with a paper bag dangling from his hand, he walks toward the 'hive' - which looks pretty much like a house - and manages to find the door without much fuss. figuring it can't be TOO different on this planet, since a lot of other things have been the same, he knocks on the door, and stuffs his free hand back in his pocket, waiting]

[Fortunately for Teddy, knocking is perfectly acceptable! Even if it does make Tavros jump slightly.

He wheels himself to the door and pulls it open a crack, peeking from behind just to make sure it isn't someone else, and then opens it fully. He flashes Teddy a shy, uncertain smile from the doorway.

Humans sure are funny-looking, he thinks.]

Uhh, hello! I'm glad you could, um, make it.

[when the door finally opens, and this kid in a wheelchair with grey skin and big horns answers the door, Teddy just lifts a hand and waves, smiling a bit. it's weird, yes, and it's an alien, but he's pretty used to the idea of other planets and their people, and none of this has been all that hard to adjust to.

Tavros talking is about as hesitant as he would've guessed from his talking]

Hey. Nice to meet you in person. I like the windmill.

Oh, yes? Uhh, thank you. I, um, I like it, too! [He wheels himself back, giving Teddy room to enter if he wants.]

Uh, so anyway... [he glances down at his lap, where an old and obviously well-loved book rests.]
