In the week before I got back to Boston, the temperatures here were, well, unseasonable. Like upper 50's, sometimes low 60's. When I arrived it was 55 or some such nonsense and the streets were slick with a tropical kind of rain. I visited a few people before I went home, so I still had all my luggage with me when it was time to walk home at
