Inside the shop the air is vaguely earthy -reminiscent of minerals and somewhat musky.

Following his partner's tall frame, Shishido breathes in allows a smile. He likes pet shops.

Not that he's got any business here or anything, but Choutarou's mother had phoned after practice to tell him he needed to pick up cat food for Fortunata. And yeah well, he'd tagged along. Not that smart a move, considering how much course load hyotei's third year high school division heaves onto their shoulders. But it meant that he and Choutarou git to hang out a little longer, so. Yeah.

It's inside warm, too. Choutarou pulls off his knit cap (it has a pinkish pom-pom at the top -Shishido knows it to be the lamest hat in existence, but Choutarou still wears the hell out of it because he knows Shishido kinda likes it, pink pom-pom aside). He's got horrible hat hair, all static, loopy strands that poof up. It's terribly… well. You know. Cute ( ... )

Only when they are outside and have walked a block or two, does Choutarou say something else.

"But," he says again, "You know… maybe we could get a puppy. Later." His voice is very, very careful, like he fears Shishido's reaction.

Confused, Shishido stops, frowning.

Choutarou takes one more step, and then turns towards him. The pink pom-pom is sorta flopped forward. He looks like a giant (literally) dork, but still the dork he really hopes will want to kiss -doggy-drool notwithstanding.

"Later?" he manages at last, when Choutarou just stands there all tentative and blushing and being an idiot. Like, next week?

"When…" dark eyes are downcast as he picks invisible lint off his wool coat. "When… if, we, later, maybe, ah-" muttermumble "-together."

Huh?

When-later-together.

Oh.

Ooooh.Something inside of him goes warm and taut. "I ( ... )

That was unbelievable CUTE AND FLUFFY!!!!
I mean PUPPIES :D I love Puppies^^ And Puppies+SilverPair = ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (and even more hearts^^)

I am so lame at commenting but this was seriously so, fucking ADORABLE. It's been so long since I've read any SP fics and this reminded me how much of an OTP they are for me. plus Shishido + dogs = stupid grin.
