I was going over old LJ entries and found this meme. I remember having so much fun with I about passed out. So I'm gonna do it again--this time, with almost twice as many fandoms.

1. He made a chess set based on people he knows. He's the white king, Shredder's the black king, etc.

2. He hated his job as Cowabunga Carl more than he ever let on.

3. He has a section in his room reserved for chalk drawings.

1. B4 is NOT the new Data. That would be wrong.

2. On very, very rare occasion, after he started using the emotion chip, it would bother him that he's not satisfied with being who he is. On any of those occasions, he would recall that desire for self-improvement is what made humanity great.

3. His love for jazz comes largely from the fact that it's so non-mathematical, relies on improvisation, and is altogether not very computer-like.

1. It was his reaction to his father's death that ended up causing the problems that ended his marriage, but he does NOT want to admit that.

2. The loss of his father piled on top of his divorce didn't make him depressive, exactly. Rather, he spontaneously developed several phobias and a panic disorder as a subconscious way to protect himself (I know I probably fail psychology FOREVER on this one, but I'm a writer, not a psychologist). He spent his years in Starfleet Academy seeing a psychotherapist, as they weren't going to let him graduate without being cured. Being McCoy, he tackled it all head-on (even though he was VERY annoyed at having to see a doctor AS a doctor) and nowadays he's fine, albeit still not quite ready to deal with the fallout of what happened with his father.

3. The reason he's grumpier than McCoy was in TOS is because all this sucky stuff has happened recently, and he hasn't had time to renew his view of life yet.
