It was always neat having someone to take me driving around completely nowhere with a boombox in the front seat blaring your favorite loud christian music on a beautiful day when Im having a down time. hey
don't worry about the letter. I will be waiting anxiously :). Sorry to hear things are still rough, but God will pull you through. You know, i took that SAME quote from Jim's journal and I put in on an away message because I liked it so much! That's crazy! I too have had those feelings of "fooling myself". I don't know for sure, but it's probably something everyone goes through at one time or another. Well, God Bless, you know I'm praying for you! Talk to you soon hopefully.
-with lots of love,

-O-,

Sometimes, when people are having down times & you're not sure how to make it better, it feels like the only thing you can do is just be there to donate some time & gas mileage. I'm glad to know that the random drives made a difference, and I'm especially glad to know that you guys are keeping up the tradition. Now that I've got my new car, Sam is down in Georgia helping out a worthy family, but I'm sure that whatever else he's doing right now, he's remembering our infinite number of 'nappings he assisted with & smiling at the memories.

I know that the road trips, like PT & FS itself, are in good hands with you guys. It's your chapter now, and I hope that you're enjoying it as much as I enjoyed mine. :)

And how am I supposed to comfort or console someone who really hurts and is showing it through tears that they are almost embarressed to let out." Sometimes words don't even need to be spoken. Silence, sometimes, is a good thing. Even better still, a simple prayer spoken aloud or in silence communicates more emotion, more compassion and empathy than words ever can. Taking someone's burdens on their behalf to God can be one of the most comforting, loving things a friend can do ( ... )
