PotC: On Stranger Tides / Doctor Who

Finally managed to get to the cinema today to see On Stranger Tides (after watching rowing world cup while unblocking the sink and doing laundry, then a swim, then the supermarket shopping; when I got back from the cinema I made rum and mint brownies. I pretty much agree with your assessment of OST, and oh! I was watching DMC and AWE yesterday on DVD and had such an attack of nostalgia. What was it about CotBP that made us love Elizabeth, Will, Norrington, even the Governor, so much, in spite of the very distracting Jack. I did like Penelope Cruz, but she just didn't light up the screen like Keira did, right from her first scene.

Still, I hope OST makes a mint, because I want more pirates, always.

I don't know quite what worked so well in the first one. Something did, that hasn't worked so well since. It's a bit of a mystery!

No River in the latest episode, unfortunately. I think I read though that for some reason BBC America wasn't screening DW on Saturday, so maybe it won't appear until it has?
