Now I feel kind of bad that our half-husky doesn't have snow to play in here. She is going to hate the summer. :-( She is loving the rain we've had all week, though. Our carpets? Not so much.

There was a time when I was not routinely covered in fur. My cats were a bit more circumspect in their human marking. The dog, on the other hand, directs her fur with a special static power. It can reach up to 30 feet away from her to attach onto the object of her affection.
Sorcha is less active then I thought she would be. She sleeps often, then plays madly for a short time, and sleeps again.
The only problem we have with Sorcha is her running away. She takes it as a personal challenge to escape. Then she doesn't know how to get home. From what I have read this is very common in huskies. You may want to microchip yours.=)
Another change she has made for us is that we accept her digging. It makes her so happy to dig and bury her nose playfully. We call the holes "butt holes". When she has them big enough she curls up with her butt in the hole.

I don't mind Frieda digging, but I do worry about her digging her way out of the yard. Most of our yard is surrounded by a big concrete fence, but there is one side that just has a wooden fence that just touches the ground and there are two wooden gates that are similar. We are thinking about bricking under those wooden parts so she can't dig under them. I'd like to give her free run of the yard but I don't want her getting out. She definitely likes to dig.
