After coming back to town, immediately moving into our new house and having my summer pass in a blur of two jobs that challenged me in vastly different ways (and finishing one of them) I am just now starting to feel like I might be getting my Portland-life back together

I would like to hear about the things you want to have in your everyday life. I was talking about this with my mom and dad and the things I want (library nearby, friends, good grocery shopping, people to do crafts with, opportunities to learn and practice skills, pretty ourdoors, garden) are so different from what my dad says he wants: to BE somewhere (in a spot like right on a well-known beach, on a beautiful and famous mountain, in the center of an important city...)
