Same question on the broken. Wondering whether dreamwidth could cover; makes for simple migration. Doesn't solve social thing though.

on a technical level, it feels clunky, stale, slow, old.
on a social level it feels depressed, exploited.

I feel about the same as you. I still check my friends page daily, certain that one day I'll realize nobody has updated in years.

My friends page remains very very active. Different bubbles of LJ have moved at different paces. Some people are still joining.
