Wow. My coming out story is rather boring. I told people, they were cool with it, and life went on.

I often take for granted how hard it is for others, and that there are sometimes consequences for coming out, probably too complex for someone in his early teens to comprehend.

yes, I was talking about this on the weekend. we all, to some degree or another, take our liberties and freedom and happiness for granted. and we forget that for some there are consequences for coming out. especially the young.

how's San Fran these days hun?

Oh, sweetie. It's good that you're upset. Er, you know what I mean. Like being a teenager isn't hard enough, this poor guy confides in someone and this is what he gets. Me, I confided in my best friend (then) and she grabbed me by the throat, shoved me up against a wall, and demanded that I retract it. I think I like my current friends, better. :)

I think I like your current friends better too!

as if it isn't bad enough having someone reject you like that cuz of who or what you are. having a close friend - or worse, a best friend - react that way would make me feel so betrayed.

I definitely like your current friends more. (and I swear I'm not just sayin' that cuz I'm one of 'em. XOXOXO)

:o)
