we're going to do 2 exercises, both launching off of the movie we'll be watching, which is "the witness."
the first will be a group exercise to get people warmed up, having fun, and non-writers can see that they can write. we'll be taking print material (probably some TVA Lifelines newsletters), picking out juicy phrases, and stringing poems out of them.
the second will be a more personal exercise, where people will explore their feelings on the movie (or anything they want to write about) and go through as many of my 15 steps to poetry writing that we can get through.

I would just feel weird getting mixed in their stuff. It's nothing personal/not my own laziness, I swear! :)
